Q: What is your job and what does your typical day involve?
A: VP-Junior Talent Pipeline Manager for J.P. Morgan. A typical day, what is a typical day? A typical day varies. It is very unusual, normally goes in different directions from what I might expect- and I like that.
Q: How did you decide that you wanted to be a part of your industry?
A: I guess Financial Services was something I hadn’t originally intended to come into. I’ve done now 8 different roles within the firm during the 16th years I’ve been here on 4 different continents, which has been really cool.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your industry?
A: I think the fact that it is always changing, never stands still. Financial Services in particular technology or Fintech is a constantly evolving sector. And we are involved in so many more things that people are not necessarily aware of.
Q: What do you remember about your first day at your job?
A: I think my first day was looking a piece of blank paper and going OK so I’ve got to fill this with some programmes, I’ve got to come with loads of ideas. I recognised that the first thing you need to do when faced with the challenge to surround yourself with very intelligent people with lots of great ideas.
